Gilmore Trail is a four-piece instrumental rock band based in Sheffield. The band is named after a trail in Alaska - a route recommended for the best experience of the Northern Lights.

The band's first release was the "Circle of Least Confusion" EP, which was recorded at 2Fly Studios in Sheffield in October 2011. In January 2013, the first full-length album was released, entitled "Sailing Stones". Jardín De La Croix is a Spanish progressive math rock band formed in 2007 in Madrid. The group finds itself at ease within its prominent and complex rhythmic structures and its layered harmonic guitars usually arranged in lengthy instrumental compositions.

To date Jardín de la Croix has released 3 albums, Pomeroy (2008), Ocean Cosmonauts (2011) and 187 Steps To Cross The Universe (2013). These are all available to download on Bandcamp, amazingly they are all free/name your price. To date they have released two EPs in 'Utter' (2012) and 'Whale Bone' (2012), followed by their debut full length 'BOSH!' in 2014. Cleft count bands such as Oceansize, Adebisi Shank, You Slut! and The Mars Volta among their influences.

Intervals - Epiphany

Intervals are a progressive metal band hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The band was purely instrumental until late 2013. Intervals is managed by Outerloop Management and have toured throughout Canada and the United States with bands such as Protest The Hero, Between The Buried and Me and The Contortionist. Intervals have released two EPs (both Name Your Price on Bandcamp click the links), The Space Between (2011) and In Time (2012).

**The band's first album with bassist Mike Semesky on vocals is entitled A Voice Within (2014). For fans of Cloudkicker, Scale the Summit, Animals as Leaders. Highly recommended here, not my typical but been hooked on these guys since the new one came out.

Animals as Leaders is an American instrumental progressive metal band formed by guitarist Tosin Abasi in 2007. It currently features guitarist Javier Reyes and drummer Matt Garstka. Prosthetic Records released the band's self-titled debut album in April 2009. Abasi and Reyes are also members of the supergroup T.R.A.M, alongside former The Mars Volta wind instrumentalist Adrián Terrazas-González and Suicidal Tendencies drummer Eric Moore.

The group released their latest album, Weightless, on November 8, 2011 in the US, November 4th in Europe, and November 7 in the UK. Catch them on Facebook.

Kasper Rosa - The Live Session

Kasper Rosa is a progressive post-metal band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. To date they have released a 5 track EP in 2009 titled 'EP2', and two singles in 'Coronal Mass Injection' and 'First Breath. First Blood' both in 2011. Influences range from Oceansize and Mastodon through to Opeth, Porcupine Tree and Incubus. The band’s experimental take on recording material has gained them credible reputation locally, and on stage have played on the same bill as Maybeshewill, LITE and 65daysofstatic.

Kasper Rosa are currently laying the foundations for a project that is due for release in 2012. In the meantime downloads are available from their Bandcamp. My advice is get them all. Below is a recent live session, 20 mins long so sit back and enjoy.

Aereogramme were an alternative/progressive/post-rock four-piece from Glasgow. Formed in 1998, the band released three full-length albums, ‘A Story In White’, ‘Sleep and Release’ and ‘My Heart Has A Wish That You Would Not Go’, and a couple of EPs on Chemikal Underground Records.

The band announced their split on May 11th 2007, citing "the never ending financial struggle" and "an almost superhuman ability to dodge the zeitgeist" as reasons.
