Enemies - Indian Summer

Artist: Enemies
Track: Indian Summer
Album: Embark, Embrace (TBC 2013)

Enemies is a math rock band from Co. Wicklow, Ireland which has been a epicentre for DIY independent music in Ireland over the last few years with bands like Adebisi Shank, Kidd Blunt and Heathers first forging their sound in the area. In Spring 2008 they released their debut EP 'Alpha Waves' which led to two Japanese labels Machu Picchu Industries and Stiff Slack picking up the band for releases. A two-week tour of Japan followed in which they played sold-out shows in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Kyoto.

Back closer to home, the band played gigs in the UK and Ireland on bills with bands like And So I Watch You From Afar, BATS, Not Squares, Marvins Revolt and Blakfish. After the success of the band's debut album 'We've Been Talking' (2010), they released a limited edition 7” vinyl featuring the songs 'Coco Et Moi' and 'Robert Reid' (Bandcamp).

The band has recently been signed to Boston label Top Shelf Records, who will release their forthcoming album 'Embark, Embrace' on 25th May in the Button Factory, Dublin. More information on this release can be found on the band's Facebook page, and you can get the back catalog over on Bandcamp. Don't delay.
