Pray For Sound - Tympanoplasty

Artist: Pray For Sound
Track: Tympanoplasty
Album: Monophonic (2012)

Pray for Sound is a Massachusetts based solo post-rock project started in 2011 by Bruce Malley. After struggling to find musicians willing to take the project seriously, Bruce finally decided to go through with the undertaking alone under the name Pray for Sound. After about a year of meticulous writing, recording and rerecording, Pray for Sound's debut album, Monophonic, will finally be released in fall 2012.

Inspired by a struggle with hearing loss, Monophonic takes the listener on an emotional roller coaster. With mixing and mastering by Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna, Pg.lost), the five track EP is dark, melodic and explosive, taking inspiration from bands like Hammock and Explosions in the Sky, to those outside of the post-rock genre such as Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree.

Monophonic will be available digitally via Bandcamp in a pay-what-you-want format. For those that are interested, a physical digipack version will also be available in very limited quantities for $8.
