Haiku Salut is an instrumental trio from the Derbyshire Dales in England, who fuse elements of neoclassical, folktronica, post rock, folk, and electronica. Between them, Haiku Salut play accordion, piano, glockenspiel, trumpet, guitar, ukulele, drums, and melodica. Their music also features electronic elements, which they refer to as "loopery and laptopery".

This Patch of Sky is a Oregon instrumental post rock band, formed in 2010 in Eugene. The band typically composes cinematic instrumental pieces that combine subtle-nuanced melodies and wall-of-sound guitars to create a symphonic landscape. The band was signed to German indie label Oxide-Tones in 2011 and released "The Immortal, The Invisible" (2011) and "Newly Risen, How Brightly You Shine" (2012).

In 2013 Oxide-Tones became defunct, resulting in the band releasing full-length album "Heroes and Ghosts" independently. In August 2014, the band released a full length self-titled album independently.

Alarmist is an instrumental four-piece from Dublin, consisting of Neil Crowley, Elis Czerniak, Osgar Dukes and Barry O'Halpin. While inevitably compared to many acts on Ireland's healthy post/math-rock scene, Alarmist gained attention for their audibly wide range of influences.

Within their configuration of electric guitars, double drums and electronics, instrumental guitar music is only one touchstone, with the various members' backgrounds in jazz, electronica and contemporary composition infiltrating their tightly wound tracks.

Their performances are often enhanced by projections by live visuals artists Slipdraft.

Gilmore Trail is a four-piece instrumental rock band based in Sheffield. The band is named after a trail in Alaska - a route recommended for the best experience of the Northern Lights.

The band's first release was the "Circle of Least Confusion" EP, which was recorded at 2Fly Studios in Sheffield in October 2011. In January 2013, the first full-length album was released, entitled "Sailing Stones". Japancakes is an American indie rock group based in Athens, GA.

Improvisational drone-pop orchestra Japancakes was the brainchild of Athens, GA-based musician Eric Berg, who in 1997 had the idea of organizing a group of ten musicians to take the stage without any previous rehearsals all for the sake of playing a single "D" chord for 45 minutes. Fascinated by the subtle changes and imperfections which textured the performance, Berg began mounting other experiments within a similar conceptual framework; although the onstage lineup often expanded to as many as a dozen instrumentalists, other constants included Nick Bielli, Todd Kelly, Heather McIntosh, John Neff, and Scott Sosebee.

The debut Japancakes album, If I Could See Dallas, followed on Kindercore in the autumn of 1999; an EP, Down the Elements, appeared in the spring, and the sophomore effort Sleepy Strange was issued in early 2001. Darla released Belmondo the following year, and Waking Hours arrived two years later on the Warm imprint. Japancakes switched back to Darla for their two 2007 albums, a cover of My Bloody Valentine's classic album Loveless and an album of original material, Giving Machines, which both arrived that fall

By the End of Tonight (often abbreviated to BTEOT) was an American instrumental rock band from Alvin, Texas. They were signed to notable post-rock label Temporary Residence Limited for their life as a band.

By the End of Tonight formed in 2003 and have toured with the likes of Anathallo, Tera Melos, Sleeping People, Buxton, and O Pioneers. They were signed to Temporary Residence after sending their demo '...In a Letter to the Sandbox'. The band announced through a Myspace bulletin in early 2009 after almost a year of inactivity that they had disbanded.

This track has been recorded and sent to me in the last few days, after the recent events in Ferguson, Missouri. The entire proceeds of the album sales will go directly to the Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church in Ferguson, specifically to help keep their food bank stocked.

Maybeshewill - In Amber

Maybeshewill is an instrumental band from Leicester, United Kingdom whose music is characterised by the use of programmed and sampled electronic elements alongside guitars, bass and drums.

The band have described their sound as "instrumental rock with electronics", while Drowned in Sound described them as sounding "like Mogwai would if the latter had ever found love in an arthouse cinema. And then were beaten around the head with a keyboard". Comparisons have also been made with Sigur Rós, and 65daysofstatic were often mentioned by reviewers as a likely influence on their earlier work. Their tracks often include samples of film or other dialogue; "Not for Want of Trying" contains a sample from Network, while Sing the Word Hope in Four Part Harmony includes samples of broadcaster Edward R. Murrow, and excerpts from Young Winston.
