Immovable Objects started out as the performance and recording name for San Diego-based multi-instrumentalist Matt Gagin. After one release, Gagin decided to put together a live band that could play relentless instrumental rock, then capture that energy and emotion on tape. The quintet’s sound has been compared to God Speed You Black Emperor, Explosions in the Sky, Mum, Sigur Ros, Panda Bear and Her Space Holiday.

After recording through the early months of 2012 at Black Box Studios with Mario Quintero, the new album, “I’ll Know to Believe in Sparrows”, was released in June 2012 on Hawnyawk Records and is currently in the process for Australian distribution.

Inspirative is a post-rock band from Bangkok, Thailand formed in 2006. The band initially started as a solo project of Noppanan Panicharoen. All members joined in 2008 and turned into a full band consisting of Noppanan Panicharoen (guitar), Amornthep Masawang (Bass), Pongpat Phaukwattana (Guitar), Sirichai Chanmanklakul (Drums), Wuttipong Huangpetch (Piano, Vocal). The band’s music is composed of expansive melodic guitar based and ambient field recordings.

Arovane is the recording name of German electronic music artist Uwe Zahn. Arovane's sound can be characterized as ethereal, intellectually melodic, organic, warm and ambient yet technically involved with structured, often heavy, breakbeat and hip hop influenced beats. It is richly layered with synths and textured distortions and focuses more on generating a melancholy nostalgic feeling than four-on-the-floor dance beats. The tempos are midrange and Arovane has been labeled as IDM by many.

Andy has released six albums to date including two for his children in Marshall (2010) and Vivian (2011). All his releases are available in various formats on Bandcamp - some free, some paid - my advice is to grab the lot.

World's End Girlfriend (ワールズ・エンド・ガールフレンド) is the musical project of Katsuhiko Maeda who hails from Nagasaki, Kyushu in Japan, and currently resides in Tokyo. His work blends elements of electronica, classical music, and post-rock to create a style reminiscent of several other modern day bands.

At the age of 10, Maeda was inspired by his father's collection of classical music. When he was 12 years old he started composing on keyboards, guitar, tape recorders and computers. To date he has composed more than 600 songs.

Ólafur Arnalds is a multi-instrumentalist and producer from Mosfellsbær, Iceland. Ólafur Arnalds mixes strings and piano with loops and edgy beats crossing-over from classical to pop. Arnalds was a drummer of hardcore/metal bands Fighting Shit and Celestine, as well as others.

In April 2009, Arnalds composed and released a track daily for seven days, instantly making each track available within 24 hours from foundsongs.erasedtapes.com. The collection of tracks was entitled Found Songs.
